In alignment with Santa Clara & San Mateo County guidelines, CYS has implemented the following policies and procedures to provide a safe environment for our audiences, artists, and staff:
VACCINATION POLICY
While we strongly encourage all our audience members to stay up-to-date on their COVID-19 vaccination, we will no longer be checking for proof of vaccination at our concerts, beginning May 1, 2023.
MASK MANDATE
CYS will still require all guests and musicians, regardless of vaccination status, to wear masks inside the lobby and concert halls at our upcoming Season Finale concerts. Thank you for wearing your mask at these venues!
Wear a mask with two or more layers. Wear the mask over your nose and mouth and under your chin. The following are prohibited: Masks with exhalation valves; masks made of loosely woven fabrics; scarves, buffs, bandanas, gaiters, and face shields alone (inadequate protection). The performers on stage will be masked, so we ask that you are too!
STAY AT HOME IF YOU ARE ILL
Stay home if you are sick or have COVID-19 symptoms, have been in contact with someone known to be or suspected to have been infected with COVID-19 within the last 10 days, or if you are subject to a quarantine or isolation order. For ticket returns, please email Info@cys.org.
ENHANCED HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES
The Cañada College Theater and San Mateo Performing Arts Center run the ventilation system at all times, regardless of weather conditions, to make sure the air is exchanging as frequently as possible. Hand sanitizer stations are positioned throughout the hall. Please wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or use the hand sanitizer stations. Program books will be available in both printed and digital formats. CYS will also implement physical distancing.
